Independent plant breeder Dr Jodi Souter forged an entrepreneurial path in the plant breeding industry to launch J4 Agri-Science. Now she’s asking how intellectual property and biotechnology laws will affect innovation in the plant breeding industry. As one of a handful of Canadian Nuffield Scholars each year, Souter plans to travel the world to learn more about how regulations can promote or stifle innovation in the food and agriculture industries.
