Throughout the event, we will explore the crucial role of plant varieties in creating resilient and sustainable agricultural systems. At present, the agriculture sector is faced with a series of complex challenges, sky-rocketing energy costs, devastating climate change effects and consumer dietary shifts to name a few. We aim to include a wide range of agricultural philosophies and provide opportunity for discussion and debate on future needs, mutual interests and ways to improve the impact of the plant breeding community to tackle UK’s challenges within the sector.
