On the 30th of May we attended the EUCARPIA’s 25th Maize and Sorghum Conference in Belgrade. The conference brought together a group of professionals for a scientific exchange around current challenges and new methods for Maize and Sorghum breeding.

We’re delighted to announce that our CEO, Hannah Senior, will become President of the National Association of Plant Breeders (NAPB) in August 2022!  This forms part of a 4-year term for Hannah on the Executive Committee, working with others from the plant breeding community who have similarly stepped up to help lead this vibrant organisation. 

We’re excited to inform you that team PBS will be hosting a live Q&A event via our Instagram page on the 28th February 2022 at 15.00 GMT. 

Season 4 will share fascinating stories from leading lights in the plant breeding world such as Susan McCouch, Professor in plant breeding and genetics at Cornell University. She shares how these experiences led to the internationally-respected rice breeding program at Cornell University and its open-source ethos which guides progress.
